Using "AF Loft" in visualization
of architectural and interior projects.
AF Loft can use as a path spline with any number of polygons.
All parameters are set in numeric form that quicken the job.
(Twist, Shape Anchor, Shape transformation, Capping, Mapping)

"AF Loft" is useful for creating various building
profiles: frieze, plinth, borders etc
|

"Fit To Frame" Parameter makes easier creating of frames,
specially for architectural and interior visualization.
"Shape Anchor" serves for accurate profile alignment.

Difference between AF Loft and standard Loft-object
|
In spite of the name, "AF Loft" one cannot call it straight alternative to standard Loft object.
You should not conduct any other comparisons between these two methods of building
objects. We have added in "AF Loft" interface only the most important parameters.
So as this tool is created in the first time for simplification of work with the Loft objects.
This is modifier. On its principal of work it is more closer to "Bevel Profile".
Not always demand the flexibility of standard Loft-object. Quite often it is necessary
to pull one shape along another (or along several profiles at the same time),
without any distortions, having minimum set of parameters.
In this case "AF Loft" will be useful.
Besides this in "AF Loft" are included some more abilities which there are not in
standard Loft (see above).

Current version limitation
|
"AF Loft" it is effect taken from "AF 3D Titler" software, adapted for 3D Studio MAX
(without essential changes). In connection that initially it has been created for work
with flat text, so in current version it works only with 2D spline projection on their
basic surfaces. Therefore ask to pay your attention to vain attempts to use as path,
spline, which points are not found in one plane.
We hope this limitation will be removed in following versions of Plug-In.
